Sabrina Hoque has over 20 years of policy expertise, having served progressively senior roles and responsibilities with a focus on strategic policy and planning. Her experience ranges from presenting strategic legislative and policy priorities, to executive management within territorial and federal governments, to building relationships and networks as a representative of the United Nations Development Programme at global forums. She also has designed and facilitated workshops on behalf of the Canadian Red Cross Society. Sabrina’s primary competencies include research, writing, and presenting policy materials for senior executives on complex policy and/or program initiatives in line with the departmental and overall government mandates. Sabrina was most recently Senior Policy Advisor with Natural Resources Canada, following seven years of experience as a Senior Policy Analyst for the GN Departments of Finance and Health.
During her free time, Sabrina enjoys world travel, having gone to school and grown up living in Thailand and Ethiopia as a Bangladeshi-Canadian. She also enjoys international cuisine & festivals, cycling, kickboxing, spending time outdoors with family and friends, and running (although these days, it is mostly after her two kids). Sabrina is always open to meeting new people with interesting stories to share.
