Kelvin Eisses has always had a taste for adventure, which brought him up to Nunavut upon completion of his undergrad. While in Nunavut, he had many adventures including hiking 100km up to Sylvia Grinnell Lake and then returning via a pack raft. Kelvin’s greatest adventure was the “Rather Odd Journey”, an 8-month trip from Antarctica to the Arctic captured in ten episodes on his YouTube channel.
Kelvin is also intellectually curious; he is a professional accountant (CPA, CGA) and has completed an MA in Economics (University of Victoria), a Documentary Production Certificate Program, an MA in Political Studies (Queens) and is currently working on his PhD in Political Studies at Queen’s University.
Another of Kelvin’s passions is searching for ways to make democracy better. While this may not seem like a typical collection of interests, combined they provide Kelvin with a unique and deep understanding of public policy, governance and management information systems. Over the past 25 years, when not studying or exploring, he has worked directly or indirectly for the Government of Nunavut.
