Brianne Ste Marie Lacroix

Brianne (Bee) Ste Marie Lacroix (she/her) is an Artist & Creative Communications Specialist who grew up in rural Manitoba, just outside of Winnipeg in Treaty 1 Territory. She has mixed roots coming from the Red River Métis, French settlers, and Celtic ancestry. Brianne recently began supporting Sivummut projects in August of 2024 and lives in Victoria, BC.

As a queer woman and a kind, empathetic and compassionate person, Brianne has always focused her art and work on topics around collective liberation, 2SLGBTQQIA+ rights, and anti-racism. In addition to her work with Sivummut, she is currently the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls and Two-Spirited Peoples (MMIWG2S+) Urban Indigenous Action Group Communications Manager (part time), where she launched and manages social media platforms, website management and updates, and develops effective communications strategies to promote the work of, raise awareness for, and advocate for urban Indigenous rights.

Brianne volunteers on a regular basis (including BiPan Online Magazine and at various community feasts and events, among others), and also conducts freelance photography. In her spare time she is usually creating art, connecting with loved ones, or finding peace in nature.
